Epworth Tandoori takes a High Street unit on the central parade of Epworth, the Isle of Axholme market town whose Wesley associations (John and Charles Wesley were both raised at the Old Rectory) bring a steady visitor trade alongside the local catchment from Haxey, Belton and the surrounding villages. The shop runs the standard tandoori-and-balti repertoire that Yorkshire-border Indian takeaways have settled into — the full tandoori page with tikka and tandoori-mixed-grill variations, the balti pages, the long house-special section covering the passanda, jalfrezi, dhansak, korma, madras and vindaloo lines, biryanis, vegetarian dishes and the curry-and-chips crossover sides. The delivery operation covers a wide area for a village Indian — Epworth and the Isle of Axholme villages, the Haxey and Belton catchment, Owston Ferry, Crowle and out as far as the Scunthorpe edge all in the delivery zone — which gives the kitchen a usefully broad collection-and-delivery reach.
