Barbaguette Take Away Food Shops

The Barbaguette is a long-running independent sandwich and lunch shop on Victoria Street, the main spine of Newton Stewart — the Galloway market town on the River Cree known as the Gateway to the Galloway Hills, with Glentrool and the Galloway Forest Park immediately to the north. The shop has been run by Debbie and Nigel for over twenty years and trades a daytime lunch-counter operation rather than an evening takeaway.

The menu is built around freshly prepared baguettes, sandwiches and wraps to order, with a hot side covering jacket potatoes, paninis, soups and a rotating special. Salads, hot and cold rolls, tea and coffee and a small dessert and ice-cream counter fill out the rest of the offer.
