About The Kiosk
The Kiosk at Hawes Pier sits at one of the most atmospheric spots in Scotland — a small pier beneath the vast Victorian ironwork of the Forth Bridge, made famous as the fictional setting of Robert Louis Stevenson's Kidnapped. Operating as a newsagent and refreshment kiosk rather than a full takeaway kitchen, it sells confectionery, soft drinks, snacks and hot refreshments to visitors arriving at the pier and walkers along the Forth shore. The Forth Bridge dominates the view from the waterside here, and on a clear day the newer Queensferry Crossing and Forth Road Bridge frame the scene to the west. A modest offer, but the location is hard to beat.
