The pizza list is the reason to look. Alongside the expected Meat Feast, Hawaiian and BBQ sits a run of properly Italian-named pies — Regina, Napolitana, Fiorentina, Capricciosa, Ortolana, Primavera, Bufalina, Caprino, Spinaci, Tutto Formaggi, Funghi and Parma — with a Vegetarian Piccante and a Classica alongside. All of them are made in three sizes, ten, thirteen and fifteen inch, with nothing held back for the larger bases. Pasta is deliberately short: spaghetti bolognese, chicken and mushroom, and lasagne in beef or vegetable versions, and that is the lot. The starter list is where the menu turns American — potato skins with cheese or cheese and bacon, jalapeno cream cheese bites, breaded mozzarella, stuffed mushrooms, curly fries, hot and BBQ wings, chicken strips and dippers, with five dips to choose between. Garlic bread comes plain, with cheese, or with cheese and pepperoni. Sweets are bought in but well chosen: Haagen-Dazs by the tub in five flavours, plus Tennessee and banoffee cream pies.
