Moksha opened on Kingston Road in 2017, the first restaurant venture of a team with roots in Mumbai's hotel industry, and quickly became New Malden's top-rated Indian on TripAdvisor. The kitchen aims considerably higher than the high-street norm: starters range from refreshing paani puri to hefty samosas chaat, while mains stretch from north Indian classics like lamb rogan josh to the more unusual venison jaipuri. Halal meat is used throughout. The Infatuation praised it for delivering genuine flavour complexity at very reasonable prices, and food blogger Andy Hayler noted it surpasses many central London equivalents. Booking advisable.
