New China is a Chinese takeaway on the Garrick Way parade serving the Castle Hill estate in north Ipswich, operating from premises that previously traded as Mr Wan Chinese Food. The shop covers the standard British-Chinese takeaway range — sweet and sour, chow mein, stir-fries, rice and noodle dishes — for the surrounding residential streets. Castle Hill is one of north Ipswich's largest post-war housing estates, and the Garrick Way parade is the estate's local food strip, serving day-to-day needs for a large residential catchment.
