East Ocean is one of the longest-established Chinese restaurants in Ipswich, trading from Lindbergh Road on the Broke Hall estate through multiple decades. A complete refit of the kitchen and dining room preceded the current chapter, with a head chef bringing over thirty years of Chinese cookery experience and two decades working in Hong Kong restaurants. Honey roast pork and sizzling yellow bean beef are standout dishes; the Cantonese eat-in menu is broad and regularly praised for freshness and attentive table service. Set meals are available for dine-in parties of two or more. The restaurant has a customer car park at the rear with free parking after early evening. Dine-in, takeaway, and Just Eat delivery all serve the Broke Hall and east Ipswich community.
