Burton Kebab

Burton Kebab is the High Street takeaway running out of a unit on the stretch between the Market Place and the Cooper's Square ring. It's a kebab-focused shop with pizza and chicken filling out the menu — the standard mid-town Burton-upon-Trent independent build, aimed at the post-pub and shopping-day trade rather than the dedicated curry-house run on Guild Street and Branston Road.

Doner is the headline — meat off the spit served wrapped in a pitta, in a tray with chips and salad, or as a meat-and-rice plate — alongside chicken on the spit for the slightly lighter end of the menu. The pizza side runs the standard topping list at lower-middle pricing; chicken comes both as southern-fried strips and as half-and-quarter plates. Delivery distance is around three miles, which covers most of central Burton plus Branston, Stretton and the eastern side of town.

It's a collection-and-delivery operation rather than a sit-in shop, and the hours track the standard High Street late-trade pattern. Useful late on a Friday or Saturday night for the central-Burton residential streets after the High Street pubs have called last orders.
