Hogarth Place SW5 0QT is a quiet residential street in Earls Court named for William Hogarth, the great 18th-century English satirical painter and engraver whose series A Rake's Progress and Marriage A-la-Mode were among the most socially observant art of the period. Eastern Star evokes the celestial navigators of China and the star as a symbol of excellence.
