About The Mayflower

The Mayflower at 117 Rotherhithe Street in Rotherhithe SE16 is one of London's oldest riverside pubs, built in 1620 on the site of the dock from which the Mayflower sailed to America in September 1620, carrying the Pilgrim Fathers to Plymouth, Massachusetts. The Grade II listed pub sits directly on the Thames at Rotherhithe, with a wooden jetty extending over the water — one of the most atmospheric riverside pub terraces in London. The pub serves traditional British food alongside its ales, and is one of the only pubs in England licensed to sell both British and American postage stamps, in recognition of the voyage. The captain of the Mayflower, Christopher Jones, is buried in the churchyard of St Mary the Virgin directly across the street. Rotherhithe SE16 is a conservation area of 18th-century dockworkers' houses and converted warehouses around Surrey Quays.

Available for dine-in at 117 Rotherhithe Street, Rotherhithe SE16. Phone 020 7237 4088. Grade II listed. Historic riverside pub since 1620.
