Babbo at 29-31 St John's Wood High Street opened in early 2025, taking over the beloved Harry Morgan's delicatessen site. Owned by football agent Kia Joorabchian, it is an all-day Italian restaurant with strong Premier League associations. Giles Coren reviewed it for The Times in January 2025: going in expecting to dislike it, he found 1970s-style Italian food that was "not madly ambitious, but very precisely executed — what you want from a glittering local restaurant in a wealthy neighbourhood." Hardens 2025 reports: "a good neighbourhood option if you live in NW8, some dishes are very good." St John's Wood High Street is one of London's most prosperous restaurant streets, within sight of Lord's Cricket Ground. Abbey Road — where The Beatles recorded — is a ten-minute walk.

Oslo Court at Charlbert Street in St John's Wood NW8 is a long-established French restaurant in the ground floor of the Oslo Court apartment block. Hot Dinners published a local guide to St John's Wood in March 2025 by Iré Hassan-Odukale, co-founder of Ikoyi (two Michelin stars, World's 50 Best), who lives in the area and recommends Oslo Court personally: "a hidden gem on the ground floor of an apartment block. With the pink napkins, tablecloths, dessert trolley, and elderly clientele, it feels like you have stepped back into the 80s. The food is good, with classic French dishes, big portions. But it is the service that keeps you coming back, warm and friendly but always professional and polite." The restaurant serves classic French cooking — Dover sole, rack of lamb, chicken Kiev, profiteroles from the dessert trolley — with the unruffled confidence of a kitchen that has been doing the same things for decades.
