Cafe Persia Takeaway Menu

Kebabs are only the entry point. Beyond koubideh, chicken and mixed skewers, the main list moves into home-style Iranian cooking rarely written out in full on a takeaway menu: ghormeh sabzi, gheimeh and gheimeh bademjan among the khoresht stews, baghali polo with lamb or chicken, zereshk polo, lubia polo, and sabzi polo ba mahi. Vegetable dishes stand on their own too — kashke bademjan, mirza ghasemi, koko sabzi and koko sibzamini. The sandwich counter is where the cafe side shows, fourteen fillings deep and taking in kotlet, olivieh, Iranian sausage and salami, falafel, hummus and lamb tongue. Soups cover ash alongside lentil and vegetable. Drinks are a section in themselves: Persian tea, a full espresso-bar list, fresh juices pressed to order including pomegranate and carrot, and maejon blended with date, honey, walnut, cream or ice cream. Desserts run to sholezard and homemade cakes, and breakfast is served in full English, vegetarian and Persian versions.
