Kadiri's in Willesden Green NW10 is one of London's most celebrated Indian restaurants. Hardens has recommended it consistently for over a decade: it has been trading on the High Road for more than 40 years, is known above all for what fans describe as the best biryani in London, and serves what the family calls Kokni soul food — the coastal cuisine of Rajpur in Maharashtra, brought to London via East Africa. The family arrived in the UK from Rajpur, a coastal town, and has cooked this specific regional Indian tradition for the Willesden community ever since.
