Chennai Spice is a well-established South Indian and Sri Lankan restaurant at 217 Hertford Road in Edmonton, reviewed by the Enfield Dispatch in September 2025 and confirmed as one of the area's most popular restaurants. The reviewer visited on a Tuesday evening and found it packed: "I ended up with the only free table in the main restaurant -- it's a very popular place, with good reason." The restaurant specialises in Tamil Nadu and Sri Lankan dishes, with a particularly strong selection of seafood: anchovy fritters, devilled mutton, fish curry and unique specialities like kothu (shredded flatbread stir-fried with meat, egg and spices).
