The kitchen produces a daily-changing blackboard menu of what Heath calls "rustic British pub food" -- dishes might include braised beef cheek with bone marrow and pancetta pie, lamb ragu tagliatelle with red wine, cassoulet with confit duck leg and smoked sausage, and oysters. Sunday roasts are a weekly fixture. A seasonal hog roast runs spring through autumn in one of the two beer gardens. Inside, a wood-burning fire and excellent selection of whiskies and wines create a warm, convivial atmosphere.
