About Namaaste Highgate
Namaaste Highgate is a celebrated Indian restaurant in the heart of Highgate Village, created by multi-award-winning chef-patron Sabbir Karim, who is also behind the acclaimed Namaaste Kitchen in Bloomsbury and Salaam Namaste in Covent Garden. In November 2025, Namaaste Highgate won Best London Restaurant at the Asian Curry Awards, with Sabbir Karim also receiving a special honour for Outstanding Charity and Community Service. The restaurant has been praised by the BBC, the Evening Standard, The Telegraph, Time Out and the Daily Mirror. TheFork rates it 9.1 out of 10. A Homegirl London Highgate guide recommends it for "Indian street food at South Grove."
The menu is inspired by Indian home-style cooking and the vibrant food culture of street hawkers and roadside cafes across India. Breakfast and brunch dishes include idli, dosa and a railway omelette. Lunch and dinner offerings span small plates, kebabs and grills, and carefully composed curries including butter chicken, jackfruit and artichoke biryani, and saag paneer. The fig and ginger naan is a recurring highlight for diners. The restaurant seats 80-95 and has a private dining room for 24-28 guests. A patio for outdoor dining is also available. Open daily from noon. Website: namaastehighgate.co.uk.
