Majjos

Majjos is a beloved North Indian food boutique, restaurant and catering business at 1 Fortis Green in East Finchley, trading since 1984 and one of the most distinctive dining destinations in N2. The eastfinchley.london official local directory describes it well: Majjo's prepare a variety of vegan, vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes — all individually cooked using the old pot method style. Listed in the Good Food Guide 2016 as a Local Gem and in Cobra's Good Curry Guide, Majjos also holds a Healthier Catering certificate from Barnet Council.

The menu changes daily, using freshly prepared family recipes and fresh seasonal ingredients. Standout dishes include slow-cooked lamb shanks (5 hours, only available Fri-Sat), lamb with freshly grated beetroot, chicken in homemade yogurt and coconut milk, spicy yam leaf curry, samosas and bajjis with homemade lentil sauce, and handmade fresh naans. All food is cooked in sunflower oil and is free from artificial colours, E-additives, preservatives and MSG. Extensive vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, nut-free, dairy-free and lactose-free options.
