Delaterra

Delaterra is a tiny Spanish tapas restaurant and coffee shop on Essex Road, a short walk from Essex Road station and Upper Street. Run by owner Ovidi, it seats just one table and a handful of bar seats. The London Butler describes it as small, Spanish and sensational: a place for those in the know, without the pretence, where the owner is extremely welcoming. Reviewers praise the Spanish tortilla, truffle turkey eggs, spiced scrambled eggs with gazpacho, baked eggs with ham, charcuterie and cheese boards. Excellent Spanish-inspired coffee, Spanish wine and Belgian draft beer. Generous portions throughout.
