Orient Express

Orient Express was the earlier trading name for the Chinese takeaway at Strathearn Road, a quiet residential street on the Marchmont and Sciennes border in EH9. The kitchen is now operating under the Wokness name (also listed on this site at the same address). Strathearn Road serves a settled residential population of Edinburgh University staff, young professionals and families in the Victorian tenement flats that characterise this corner of EH9. The same operator has been in the takeaway business for over a decade at this address, building a neighbourhood following in a part of south Edinburgh that sits slightly outside the main Bruntsfield and Newington takeaway strips. Delivery covers Marchmont, Sciennes and the surrounding residential streets.
