About Jubilee
Jubilee Supper Room has been trading on West Granton Road since 1935, making it one of Edinburgh's oldest continuously operating chip shops. The business was founded that year by Luigi and Maddalina Demarco to mark King George V's Silver Jubilee, and it has remained a fixture of the Granton waterfront community ever since. Luigi himself was one of the most decorated Scottish soldiers of the First World War, and his son Bert went on to win the Scottish Snooker Championship three times. The current menu extends well beyond the original fish supper, running to Italian-style pizzas, doner kebabs, burgers, pasta and wraps alongside the traditional battered fish and chips made to a long-standing in-house batter recipe. Online ordering is available through the Jubilee website and app. The shop opens at three o'clock every afternoon and trades through to eleven at night seven days a week.
