Jolly Ristorante and Pizzeria

Jolly Ristorante and Pizzeria has been on Elm Row since 1973, making it one of Edinburgh's longest-standing Italian family restaurants. The kitchen produces hand-prepared pizzas from a wood-burning oven — reputedly the only such oven in central Edinburgh — with over 45 variations on the menu ranging from classic margherita to more elaborate specials. The full menu extends to pasta, risotto, steak and Scottish seafood. Jolly sits at the point where Elm Row joins Leith Walk, within easy reach of the New Town streets to the west and the Broughton area to the north.
