Hong Kong Chinese takeaway has served the Wardieburn estate on the western edge of Granton for many years from its unit on Wardieburn Drive. The kitchen is a family-run operation and is cash-only. Fried chicken, ribs, lemon chicken and soft noodles are among the dishes customers come back for repeatedly; a loyal following on Deliveroo has pushed the Google rating to 4.2 out of five, with one customer noting five years of unbroken good meals. The restaurant is ranked in the top twenty per cent of fast-food outlets in Edinburgh by one independent directory. It is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Wednesday through Sunday it opens at five in the evening and closes at ten.
