Dabeli Hut on Ealing Road has been doing something few spots in London bother with: serving the Kutchi dabeli in its proper form, alongside the full range of Gujarati and Maharashtrian street food that Alperton's large Hindu community grew up eating. The dabeli itself — a spiced potato filling in a soft bun with tamarind chutney, pomegranate seeds and sev — is the signature, but the menu extends to pani puri, wada pav, pav bhaji, masala dosa and various chaats, all made to a pure-vegetarian and largely vegan standard. The kitchen has been open for well over fifteen years, and reviews consistently cite the pani puri and the traditional dabeli as the reasons to make the trip. Prices remain some of the best-value street food in north-west London.
