Burlingtons Fish & Chips Takeaway Menu

Two kitchens share one counter here. The fish side is a proper Enfield chippy: cod in two sizes, haddock, plaice fillet and rock eel, each sold on its own or with chips, plus scampi, cod goujons, cod roe in batter and a fish cake. The traditional accompaniments are all present — mushy peas, gravy, curry sauce, pickled eggs, pickled onions, gherkins, saveloy and battered sausage — as are steak and kidney, beef and onion, and chicken and mushroom pies. The other half is Turkish grill work. Lamb and chicken doner, lamb and chicken shish and kofte are each served three ways: as a kebab, as a wrap, or plated with rice, in medium and large. Combination orders let you take any two or three grill items together. Lahmacun appears as Turkish pizza, plain, with salad or topped with doner. Starters borrow from the same tradition — halloumi, falafel, hummus, Greek salad, calamari — and a dedicated kids list covers sausages, goujons, scampi and nuggets.
