About Golden Hall
Golden Hall is one of the long-trading Chinese carry-outs on the central Crowle High Street parade, the small market-town stretch in the Isle of Axholme villages west of the Trent. The shop holds a strong food-hygiene record — North Lincolnshire Council awarded the kitchen the top-tier rating of 5 on the May 2025 inspection — and trades across both delivery and collection from the same single-site operation it has run for years.
The card sits squarely in the Cantonese tradition — chow-mein, chop-suey, curry and sweet-and-sour variations, the salt-and-pepper section, set meals for one and two, and the chip-shop crossover items that the Axholme villages expect from a neighbourhood Chinese. Crowle itself was the historic market town on the Stainforth-Keadby Canal — flat fenland farmland drained by Vermuyden in the 17th century stretches out around the village in every direction — and Golden Hall is one of three Chinese operations on the High Street alongside Dragon House further down at 68, giving the small village an unusually dense Chinese-takeaway cluster. The shop runs evenings only across the standard six-day operating pattern, with delivery into Crowle, Ealand and the surrounding villages.
