Victoria Kebab

Victoria Kebab House is the late-night kebab shop on the same Victoria Street West parade as Caspers and Victoria Fish & Chips, a few doors from the Top Town pedestrianised core. Its working hours give a fair sense of what it is — the kitchen opens late afternoon and runs through to about 1.30am on Friday and Saturday, picking up the post-pub trade out of Grimsby town centre and the Freeman Street end. Doner is cut from a fresh upright spit, with chicken shish and mixed grills built around the same setup, and the pizza and burger side of the menu is there as much for delivery as for in-shop ordering.

The shop trades both as a counter takeaway and through Foodhub and the other aggregator platforms, which has helped it pull a steady delivery footprint out of the centre into the East Marsh and the residential streets behind the docks. It is not a destination kebab house — reviews settle around quick service, generous portions and the cheap fries-plus-burger end of the menu — but it has held the same site for years, which on a Victoria Street parade that turns over fairly quickly counts as a positive sign of stable operation.
