New Diamond is the Chinese takeaway at the northern end of the Waltham Road parade in Scartho, working from a single counter unit on a stretch that already carries Wok Magik and the two Italian-American pizza shops further along. It is the busiest of the parade's Chinese options on a weekend evening by most local accounts, trading hard on portion size and on a wok turnaround that keeps the queue moving.

The menu runs the familiar Anglo-Cantonese range — chow mein, satay, sweet and sour, salt and chilli, curry, crispy aromatic duck and a long set-meal column at the foot of the board — with a few wider Thai-leaning supplements that have crept in over the years. Reviews on TripAdvisor and Restaurantji place it among the better Scartho Chinese kitchens, with consistency the most-mentioned positive and the occasional grumble about wait times on Friday and Saturday nights.

Opening is evening-only and the shop trades through to around 11pm, with delivery covering the immediate Scartho and Waltham postcodes and collection drawing walk-in trade from the parade itself. Of the three Chinese takeaways within a short walk along Waltham Road, New Diamond holds the northern end of the stretch closest to the Louth Road junction.
