Hys Palace

Hy's Palace is a Chinese takeaway on Field House Road in Humberston, the same short residential cut-through that also houses the Petra pizzeria. The shop has been operating in the area for some years and was reorganised under a new limited company in 2022, but its kitchen has held its place as one of the more frequently ordered Chinese takeaways for the south Cleethorpes and Humberston residential side.

The menu is the traditional British-Chinese spread — set meals for one to four, chow mein, foo yung, sweet and sour, satay, Cantonese curry, salt and pepper dishes, and a broad starter list that runs from spare ribs and pancake rolls through to sesame prawn toast and crispy seaweed. Sweet and sour chicken in Cantonese-style batter and Singapore fried rice show up most often in reviews, with regulars citing generous portion sizes and value. The shop holds a published Food Hygiene rating of 5 (very good) from a July 2023 inspection by North East Lincolnshire Council. A practical evening Chinese for the area rather than a destination — and one that does delivery as well as collection.
