New Joy is the Chinese takeaway on the small parade at the central Grimsby Road junction in Cleethorpes, sitting next door to the corner fried-chicken-and-burger operation and a short walk from Weng Kee further along. It is a family-run shop carrying a current Very Good food hygiene rating from the FSA, and works a settled regular trade from the surrounding central Cleethorpes streets.

The kitchen runs an unusually wide board for a parade Chinese — the standard Anglo-Cantonese template of chow mein, sweet and sour, satay, curry and crispy aromatic duck is supplemented by Thai curries, Malaysian noodles, vermicelli dishes and a tofu section, alongside a dim sum specials list. That breadth is genuinely useful: it gives the shop a different angle on the central Cleethorpes Chinese trade compared to the more strictly Anglo-Cantonese Weng Kee and Eastern Lake a few doors down.

Reviews on TripAdvisor and Foodhub repeatedly call out the freshness of the cooking, generous portions and quick delivery turnaround as the consistent positives. Opening is evening-only and trade runs through to roughly 11pm with a slightly later weekend close.
