New Dragon is a Chinese-and-Malaysian takeaway working from the parade unit at the central end of Trinity Road in Cleethorpes, set back from the High Street and the Boating Lake into the residential streets that run towards the seafront pocket. The board straddles a wider geographic range than the parade-Chinese average — Cantonese chow mein and crispy duck classics share menu space with kung po and cashew nut stir-fries and a small Malaysian noodle and laksa supplement.

The kitchen runs the standard Anglo-Cantonese template through the volume orders — sweet and sour chicken, chow mein, salt and chilli, curry, special fried rice and the long set-meal column — with the wider Malaysian and special-dish section sitting alongside for customers who want something off the more familiar takeaway template. Reviews on TripAdvisor and Restaurantji put the shop in the steady mid-table of central Cleethorpes Chinese kitchens.

Hours are closed Monday, then Tuesday through Sunday running evening-only from 4.30pm through to roughly 10.25pm. The FSA inspection in February 2023 returned a 3 (Generally Satisfactory) rating, which is below the spread for the best parade-Chinese operations but in line with the average across the central Cleethorpes Chinese trade.
