The cob is the organising idea, the East Midlands word for a bread roll, and it appears hot, cold, as a chip cob and inside a Full English Torpedo. Hot cobs are sold by the number of fillings rather than by a fixed recipe, one, two or three, and the same build-your-own logic governs the omelettes, toasties and jacket potatoes. Breakfasts come in four sizes, from small through veggie up to a mega version. The lunch board is plain cafe cooking: egg, chips and beans, with sausage or bacon added, and chips with cheese and beans. Burgers are cheese, chicken or double, always with chips.
