Slow Boat on Broad Street, Salford, was established in 1978 by Raymond and Kath, who brought a family background in Cantonese cooking to the Pendleton neighbourhood. The kitchen prides itself on cooking every dish fresh to order rather than from pre-prepared batches. Salt and pepper ribs, salt and pepper chips and special fried rice are among the dishes reviewers return for, alongside Singapore fried rice and chicken chow mein.
