Spicy Village Takeaway Menu

Korma alone gets eight names on this menu. Alongside the plain version sit Ceylonese, Gurka, Kashmiri, Lava, Mirchi, Mughlai and Multani, each with its own line. That habit of splitting runs everywhere: curries are filed into six separately titled families, from Traditional and Plain through Nice and Spicy to Village Specials and Village Specialities, so the same protein can be ordered dozens of ways. The more distinctive entries live in those last two. Mozzarella turns up inside two curries, garlic chilli and jaipori. There is a Kali Mirch, a Munzar Pardesi, a barbecued Lyllpuri, a village kofta and an Apni Chandni. The rest of the shop is Scottish takeaway in the round: a kebab counter titled Kebabway, poori favourites, Mexican tortillas, and pizzas topped with korma, chasni and bhoona.
