This is a Scottish café counter rather than a takeaway, and the hot rolls give it away: Lorne sausage, black pudding by the two slices, potato scones, links, bacon doublers and fried or scrambled egg. Jacket potatoes carry the widest choice on the menu, thirteen fillings from homemade coleslaw and cheese with gammon through to coronation chicken, Mexican chicken, sweet chilli chicken and chicken tikka — and those same fillings reappear in the toastie and panini list and again in the wraps, so one set of preparations covers three formats. Salt and chilli runs through as its own theme, on chips, a burger, a wrap and a chicken plate. The cooked meals are unfussy home cooking: mince and potatoes, pie with chips and beans, chips and stew gravy, macaroni cheese, tuna pasta and a chicken curry served with rice or chips. The fridge is stocked with Irn Bru in four formats and a full wall of Monster.
