About Yen The Rotunda Glasgow
Yen is set on the first floor of the north rotunda on Tunnel Street — a Victorian cylindrical structure built in the 1890s as the entrance to the pedestrian tunnel under the Clyde, now repurposed as a multi-floor dining venue on the riverbank. The dining room has panoramic windows looking out over the water and across to the Finnieston crane. The menu fuses Cantonese, Thai and Japanese influences: dim sum, sushi, pad thai and teppanyaki all appear, giving the kitchen a broader register than a specialist would attempt. The rotunda's distinctive setting draws diners who might otherwise stay further east in the city, and the free parking makes it easier to reach than the Finnieston strip on foot.
