Sholeh

Sholeh has been serving Persian cuisine from Nelson Street since 2007, making it one of the longer-established Middle Eastern restaurants in Glasgow and the go-to destination in the city for authentic Iranian cooking. The kitchen's koobideh kebab — minced lamb and beef with saffron, grilled on flat skewers and served with saffron rice — is the dish most frequently praised in reviews, with one Iranian diner calling it "the best in Glasgow." The mirza ghashemi, a smoky aubergine and egg dish cooked with tomatoes and caramelised onion, is equally celebrated among those who know Persian food.
