Shinwari on Langside Road brings Afghan and Peshawari cooking to a South Side setting, with the charsi lamb karahi at the heart of what the kitchen does best. The charsi method — a dry-cooked karahi in which the meat is rendered down with tomatoes, ginger and green chillies without water — produces an intensely flavoured result that has drawn favourable write-ups from the food blog Curry-Heute. Chapli kebabs, grilled koobideh and dum pukht also feature, giving the menu a range that goes beyond a standard South Asian takeaway.
