Peking House

Peking House is the principal Chinese takeaway on Thornliebank's Main Street, operating from a dedicated takeaway and delivery kitchen with no dine-in service. The menu covers classic Cantonese and Peking-influenced dishes: aromatic duck, sweet and sour preparations, stir-fries, spring rolls, wontons and a full fried rice and noodle section. Vegetarian and vegan options are available alongside the main card. The kitchen passed its food hygiene inspection in January 2024 and runs from late afternoon into the evening on six days a week, with extended hours at weekends. Delivery covers the surrounding Thornliebank and Giffnock postcodes. Thornliebank's Main Street is a tight, locally focused commercial strip and Peking House is a fixture of it, drawing custom from the surrounding residential streets as well as delivery orders from further afield in G46.
