About Pasha
Pasha on North Frederick Street is a Middle Eastern restaurant and shisha lounge with a menu that draws on Lebanese, Syrian and Iraqi cooking traditions alongside Turkish influences. Founded by Hasan, who built the business around authentic shawarmas, falafels, kebabs and slow-cooked rice dishes, the restaurant won Best Multi-Cuisine in Scotland in 2017. The lamb wraps — tender, well-grilled and generously filled — attract consistently strong reviews, and the kebsa rice dishes set it apart from standard kebab-house fare. A shisha lounge offers a separate draw in the evenings. The kitchen runs late, serving the post-theatre and late-night crowd in a part of the city centre that lies between George Square and the Merchant City. Portions are generous and the value is considered very good by regulars.
