Nachos Mexican Restaurant on Skirving Street opened in 2011 as one of the first dedicated Mexican restaurants south of the Clyde in Glasgow, and has been a fixture of the Strathbungo food and drink scene ever since. The kitchen covers the full Mexican and South American spectrum: fajitas, enchiladas, burritos and tacos alongside juicy steaks and grilled burgers, with desserts made in-house — Mexican bread and butter pudding and churros feature on a menu that takes the cuisine beyond the obvious. The bar runs made-to-order cocktails, margaritas, cosmopolitans and mexi-colas, making it a full evening destination rather than a takeaway stop. Reservations are taken through OpenTable and the restaurant's own systems. Nachos' 15-year presence on Skirving Street has been a significant factor in establishing the street's well-earned reputation as a South Side food and drink destination.
