La Favorita

La Favorita on Gibson Street is the first Glasgow outpost of the Edinburgh-based pizza group that built its reputation on award-winning Neapolitan-style bases. The kitchen uses flour milled to its own specification, San Marzano DOP tomatoes, corn-fed free-range Scottish chicken and a wood-fired oven. The result is a pizza several levels above standard takeaway, with a dining room for sit-in and takeaway and delivery for those who prefer to eat at home. Pasta dishes complement the pizza menu. Regular pizzas start around £10-12. The Gibson Street location puts La Favorita in the thick of Hillhead's restaurant row, competing directly with the area's Italian establishments.
