Homewok has been the West End's go-to authentic Chinese takeaway since 1997, operating from its long-standing unit on Byres Road near the Partick boundary. The kitchen is firmly Cantonese-rooted, with a menu spanning aromatic soups, stir-fried greens, rice and noodle dishes, and a roster of familiar favourites executed with care. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free diners are well catered for, with dishes clearly labelled. Delivery covers much of G11 and G12. The operation is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, concentrating trade into a Wednesday-to-Sunday evening window that suits the area's student-heavy population.
