Green Chilli Cafe

Green Chilli Cafe is the Ashoka group's Indian tapas concept on Argyle Street, born from entrepreneur Sanjay Majhu's idea of presenting old regional Indian recipes in small shareable plates. It won Regional Winner at both the Scottish Asian Food Awards and the Scottish Curry Awards in 2019 — recognition that the small-plates format works well for Indian food when done with care. Dishes span chicken korma, achari and chasni, with wines hand-picked to complement the spiced plates. The kitchen closes on Mondays and opens for lunch on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays only, making it worth planning around. The Argyle Street location places it at the heart of Finnieston's most celebrated dining strip.
