About Crollas Gelateria
Crolla's Gelateria carries one of Glasgow's oldest Italian food-family names: Serafino Crolla opened his first shop in the city in 1895, and by mid-century the family had an ice cream factory and thirty vans selling across Glasgow. Peter Crolla, Serafino's great-great-grandson, opened the Byres Road gelateria as the family's flagship retail operation. Awarded Scotland's Best Ice Cream Parlour in 2014, the shop serves gelato in bold and unusual flavours — cold-stone style, with toppings, wafers and syrings. The lunch menu extends to soup and grilled sandwiches. Seating across two levels, with outdoor tables in season. Open seven days from mid-morning through to late evening at weekends. A genuine West End landmark with a provenance that no competing dessert shop can match.
