About Crepe A Croissant
Crepe A Croissant grew out of a 1991 holiday to Paris, where founders Nikki and Keshan were struck by the crepe stalls lining the city's streets. Back in Glasgow they turned that inspiration into a small chain, with the Ashley Street unit serving the Woodlands fringe of the city. Sweet and savoury galettes are the backbone of the menu — buckwheat batter filled to order with combinations ranging from classic ham and cheese to chocolate and banana. Smoothies complement the crepe list, and the format is wholly takeaway, making it a swift option for students and workers cutting between the west end and Charing Cross. The original concept has remained largely unchanged since the nineties, which regulars treat as a virtue rather than a failing. A reliable, inexpensive option in an area otherwise dominated by kebab shops and Indian takeaways.
