Bo Fu Happy House — also traded as Happy House Croftfoot on social media — has been serving Cantonese-style takeaway from Carmunnock Road for over twenty years, making it one of the longer-established Chinese takeaways in this quieter part of the South Side. The menu is a thorough British-Chinese list spanning starters, house specials, curry dishes, chop suey, chow mein, fried rice and foo yung alongside set meals for groups and families. The kitchen is closed Mondays and opens from late afternoon into the late evening on the other six days. Carmunnock Road runs through a patch of the South Side where commercial options are sparse, so Happy House serves a catchment that extends well beyond the immediately surrounding streets.
