Barburrito brings the build-your-own Mexican burrito format to Hope Street as one of several Scottish city-centre locations for the Edinburgh-founded chain. The ordering process is transparent: choose a base of Mexican brown rice or flour tortilla, pick from four meat fillings or a plant-based "This Isn't Chicken" option, then layer beans, one of four salsas, shredded slaw, cheese and avocado mayo. The Classic Chicken Burrito with chipotle salsa is the best-seller. Bowls and nachos extend the menu for those who prefer to eat without wrapping. Pricing is straightforward and the format is well suited to the lunchtime trade on one of Glasgow's main north-south routes, a short walk from Central Station and Buchanan Street subway.
