Ambala Restaurant on Forth Street has been a Pollokshields institution since 1984, serving authentic Pakistani and Punjabi cooking from a family-run kitchen that has outlasted many of its South Side competitors over four decades. The menu is broad: mixed grill, lamb chops, karahi, biryani, fish masala and peri peri chicken sit alongside a dessert selection — milkshakes, fresh juices and house sweets — that has always been part of the Ambala identity. The restaurant is open seven days a week for lunch and dinner, takes reservations, and handles both delivery and collection.
