Swanscombe Panorama

Panorama Kebab — also signed Swanscombe Panorama — is the long-running Turkish-style kebab and burger shop on Stanley Road, a short walk from the village High Street and on a corner that catches passing trade from the Galley Hill direction. It sits at number 4 in TripAdvisor's small Swanscombe table and has retained a loyal following well past the point at which most village kebab houses have churned through new owners.

The menu is the familiar mixed grill / shish / donner board, with chicken and lamb cooked on the vertical spits in the front window, plus a parallel run of quarter-pounder and chicken-fillet burgers, southern-fried chicken pieces and the usual chips, kebab boxes and wraps. Late opening — sources put close around midnight — is the operational point: this is one of the few places on the western side of the village still trading when the High Street has quietened down for the night.

Older TripAdvisor reviews include the line "best kebab in town", which is exactly the small-village endorsement these shops live on. Some later directory listings have flagged the shop as potentially closed, but Facebook and the kebab-directory entries continue to list it as operational, and it is treated by the locals as the default late-evening Swanscombe kebab.
