Sher E Bangla

Sher-E-Bangla is the more decorated of Longfield's three Station Road Indian operations and the one most often pointed at as the best curry house in the area. Trading from the central Station Road parade — the same village strip that holds Loon Fung and the kebab shop — it serves Longfield, Hartley, New Barn, Fawkham, Longfield Hill, Southfleet, Betsham and Pinden through collection and local delivery, with its own ordering app on the iOS App Store alongside the usual Just Eat and ChefOnline coverage.

The shop has built a serious awards record over the last three years: ARTA (Asian Restaurant and Takeaway Awards) Best Indian Takeaway in Kent in 2023, 2024 and 2025, and the 14th Asian Curry Award in 2024 for Best Indian Takeaway in the Kent region. The menu runs the full Bangladeshi-British range — tikka starters, the curry-house specials and the longer balti and biryani list — with the chicken tikka, lamb tikka and prawn puri singled out by regulars. A village-takeaway operation with a regional reputation, and one of the very few Longfield independents to have been picked up at trade-association level rather than just on TripAdvisor.
